Horse Fest, Alias For Horsefest Arrives In March!

Are you a horseman? Or horse enthusiast? The American Competitive Trail Horse Association is now operating in the Ozarks. ACTHA will be at Horsefest coming in March and you won’t want to miss the events! ACHTA is hosting a casual competitive trail ride. What is a competitive trail ride, you ask? The event is casual and packed with exciting competitive hunter jump type of maneuvers. Participants will encounter such maneuvers such as steep hills, opening mailboxes, opening gates, crossing water, jumping trail obstacles things you might actually experience on competitive trail rides.

If you’re a member of a horse pony club or enjoy horse hunter jumper event this is your kind of social event! Enthusiasts of any horse pony club or those or enjoy competitive trail rides will definitely want to attend. The competitive trail ride will be six to ten miles in length. You’ll have 6 – 10 judged obstacles along the way. Just imagine cheering one another on along the trail… Each obstacle has its own judge and they’ll be mostly natural obstructions.

ACTHA has 4 competitive trail horse riding events on their schedule this spring and would like to invite you to join them!

The event is to take place at Eagle Ranch in Collins, MO on March 27th. They’ll have a campfire meet. So, you’ll want to bring you favorite cook-out musical instrument. Also, you can enjoy breakfast and chili lunch, which will be available Saturday. They’re including an Equine Massage Therapy clinic after the awards! It should be a fun weekend.
